Frequently asked
Which countries do you import recon cars from?
Japan, the United Kingdom and Australia. We handle the full journey — sourcing the car, shipping it to Malaysia, and clearing customs — so you deal with one team from start to finish.
What languages can I talk to you in?
Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Malay. 廣男講車 (Cantonese Guy) is Malaysia's only Cantonese-speaking-focused car channel, so you can talk cars in your own language.
How fast will you reply?
We usually reply within a few hours during business hours (open daily, 9am–6pm). WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us and get a quote moving.
Do you handle import duty and paperwork?
Yes. We give you an upfront, AI-powered import-duty and on-the-road (OTR) quote, then manage the permits, duty and registration so your car arrives road-legal.
How is Malaysian car import duty calculated?
Every quote is itemised the way Malaysian customs (Kastam) calculates it: the CIF value (car + insurance + freight), then 30% import duty, then excise duty based on engine capacity, then 10% SST. EVs follow the 2026 EV rules. You see every figure separately — nothing bundled or hidden.
How long does it take to import a car from Japan?
Once you place a booking, a car from Japan usually takes about 6–8 weeks to arrive in Malaysia; the UK and Australia take a little longer. We are a pre-order importer — cars are sourced on your order, not kept in a showroom — and we also have a rolling list of units already on the way.
What is an AP, and can any car be imported?
An AP (Approved Permit) is the government permit needed to import a vehicle into Malaysia. 廣男講車 is a PEKEMA-registered AP holder and arranges the permit for you as part of the import. We can quote almost any car across 42 brands, but note that vehicles over 5 years old generally cannot be brought in on a normal recon AP.
